Position: Cook & House Helper

We are a warm and friendly family with a 3.5-year-old daughter, based in central Canggu, and we are looking for a friendly, reliable and experienced Cook & House Helper (English-speaking) to join our household.

About this position

As our new Cook & House Helper, you will be the heart of our daily routine in central Canggu. You will prepare healthy breakfasts, lunches and/or dinners for our warm little family of three, take care of the weekly cooking plan, handle grocery shopping, laundry and ironing, and help keep our household running smoothly. We value honesty, punctuality and a real love for food. If you are confident with both Indonesian and Western basics and open to trying new recipes, we would love to meet you!

Your responsibilities include:

Arriving in the morning at 7:00 AM and preparing breakfast
Making and serving coffee
Grocery shopping
Preparing & planning the weekly cooking schedule
Laundry and ironing
Cooking healthy lunch and/or dinner – confident with the basics of both Indonesian and Western cuisine, and open to trying new recipes from instructions
Washing the pots and pans used for cooking
Helping to keep the household organized

What we need — and what we do NOT need

We are looking for a reliable Cook & House Helper, 6 days per week (Sunday off), 8 hours per day starting at 7:00 AM. Your day revolves around preparing healthy meals (Indonesian and Western basics), grocery shopping, laundry, ironing and keeping our household organized.

What we do NOT need: Cleaning the house — we already have a cleaning man for that. Your full focus is on cooking and keeping the kitchen & household running smoothly.
